Ayan Mobley is an enthusiastic mother, military professional, author, and founder/creator of Military Mocha Mommy, LLC, an organization dedicated to promoting awareness of single motherhood mixed with the challenges of living and raising children in the lifestyle of the United States Military. She was born in Suffolk, Virginia and was raised predominantly in Northern, Virginia.
Ayan has proudly served as a soldier in the United States Army for over 13 years as a Human Resource Professional and has served in various duty assignments worldwide. Ayan’s educational background includes obtaining a Bachelors of Arts in Social Science with a Minor in International Studies from Radford University, Radford VA and a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Services from Upper Iowa University, Fayette, IA. She also obtained her teacher’s licensure in Secondary Education and taught prior to enlisting in the Army in 2006.
Ayan’s first book, My Mommy is a Drill Sergeant, is scheduled for publication in early summer of 2018 and is the first of many books planned for publication. The book paints a picture of her life as a Drill Sergeant from the perspective of her son. Ayan also is the author and creator of The Misadventures of MsAyee , a blog that discusses various thought provoking topics for educational as well as entertainment purposes.
