Natalie Johnson is a first–generation Jamaican-American who resides in Brooklyn, NY and a mother of three. Raised by a single mother, she witnessed the struggles of motherhood from the undocumented single mother narrative and learned the importance of strength, resilience, and independence for a woman, especially a mother.

Natalie is a graduate of both Kingsborough Community College and Brooklyn College. She has obtained two degrees, one in Journalism and another in Communications. She has a strong belief in social responsibility and has volunteered with many non-profit organizations that directly serve the community. She developed a passion for writing at a very young age and became a spoken word artist in her early twenties, performing at random open mic venues in NY as well as some private events.
